Welcome to the "Banbury Canal Day" website.
Banbury Town Council, with help from a committee of dedicated enthusiastic local people, is again busy preparing for an even bigger and better Banbury Canal Day in 2010.
This year's event will be on Sunday 3rd October and we are delighted that our main sponsors this year will again be Castle Quay Shopping Centre and Hook Norton Brewery. As always we are being supported by British Waterways, Inland Waterways Association, Sovereign Wharf, Tooley’s Boatyard, Banbury Museum, The Mill Arts Centre and Banbury Canalside Folk Festival.
Our theme this year is 'Celebrating the Centenary of Tom Rolt and his lifetime achievements’. More information about Tom Rolt can be found on the 'Canal Day 2010' page.
Bookings for boaters, stall holders and food vendors are now being taken, please visit the 'How to Book' page for further details and an application form. Spaces are strictly limited so please book early in order to avoid disappointment.
